Tourist attractions

During your stay in Ballarat you will be able to see the many attractions that Ballarat has to offer including day trips to Sovereign Hill which brings to life the gold fever that gripped Ballarat in its first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851. Ballarat Wildlife Park is set on 16 hectares of natural bushland, a picturesque and tranquil backdrop for a diverse collection of Australian wildlife. Ballarat Botanical Gardens, established in 1858 are considered one of Australia’s best examples of the 19th Century gardenesque style landscape,  and many more attractions for the whole family.
